2017 NBL Canada Draft Combine


The National Basketball League of Canada has partnered with St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario to host the 2017 NBL Canada Draft Combine from October 20-22. The 2017 NBL Canada Draft will be held privately on the evening of Sunday, October 22th with results being announced via social media.

This event will challenge NBL Canada hopefuls via live full-court games and skill evaluation to showcase their skills for head coaches, general managers and owners with hopes of being selected in the 2017 NBL Canada Draft.

NBL Canada League Combine selection criteria consist of the following requirements:

  • 2016-17 Small College All Americans;
  • 2016-17 NCAA Division 1 Significant Contributors or Starters;
  • 2016-17 NBA D League Players;
  • 2016-17 Overseas Professionals or;
  • 2016-17 Pro Players with NBL Canada, or quality North American Minor League Experience. Small College Players that are 1st Team All Conference Selections will be considered

Friday, October 20th

Welcome Reception - 6pm - 9pm
Introductions - league, coaches and players

Saturday, October 21st

Registration - 8am - 9am

Testing 9am - 10am

Drill Work - 10am - 11:30am

Lunch Break - 11:45am - 12:30pm

Combine/Games - 1pm - 5pm

Sunday, October 22nd

Combine /Games - 9am - 2pm

Player Interviews - 2pm -4pm

Closing Remarks - 4pm - 4:30pm

NBL Canada Draft - 5pm-7pm

Upon arriving to the draft combine, players must provide the following items to NBL Canada personnel at the official registration station:

  • Valid Identification or Passport
  • Photographs must be recent and in colour for photo quality and identification purposes)

If submitting a highlight reel, please provide url link or include special viewing instructions if necessary.

Please note that all items submitted to the National Basketball League of Canada upon arrival may be kept on file for future reference and will not be returned.
